SAP Spool request does not exist in SP01

SAP Spool request does not exist in SP01, this error occurs in SAP

What is SAP Spool Request?

SAP spool request is a document which is generated by SAP Background job for which a print function has been selected. A spool request contains which data is to be printed and how this data should be printed. A print request is the translation of a spool request into a language that the printer or output device understands.

However, Spool Request has not yet been output to a printer or another device. The output data for the print document is stored partly formatted in a data store until an output request is created, that is, until it is sent to a particular output device. The spool system uses a spool request to store the print data temporarily and to access it. The data is stored in a temporary format. You can also display the print document. The system automatically assigns a 10-digit ID number to a spool request.

We can View the spool request using the Spool Request number using SP01, or own Spool Requests from SP02.

If user received the error as "SAP Spool request does not exist in SP01".

Check

1) if the Spool request number is valid or correct.

2) Spool Request deleted.

If the Background job generated the spool and later unable to view the Spool request from SP01 and throwing error as "SAP Spool request does not exist".

Check if the Delete after print option is set to "yes" in the Background job "Print Specifications - > Properties - > Output Option -> Delete after Print ".

Change the option Delete after print to "No", so that Spool Request will not be deleted after the Spool Request sent to Output device until the retention period.
